The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss was without a doubt the most influential for me. His way of viewing the world really changed the way I thought about doing business.
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki changed the way I thought about money and investing.

The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber. Really good book on structuring business as a systems and how most of the successful ones operate as such.
This book really changed the way i looked at my business
— ZubuManAnother author I read a lot of is Brian Tracy. Not solely focused on business processes (focuses a lot on achieving more) but his last two books have been good though pretty similar in content: Flight Plan: The Real Secret of Success and his latest is Reinvention: How to Make the Rest of Your Life the Best of Your Life
I can add Sam Carpenter Work the System I have found that one to be great as well
Free: The Future of a Radical Price, by Chris Anderson.
The most interesting book I've read since the 4HWW. Very thought-provoking. Not radical... but explains a lot in the world we live in... and where we can take it.
I liked this one too. I think it's Anderson's best book.
— MattAnd don't forget to mention you can get the book FREE as a download on iTunes.
— BrandonAwesome! Downloading now...
— James WI suggest the Art of Profitability by Adrian Slywotzky. I've read well over 100 business books, and this is one of the very best. It's so simple to understand, and really makes you think about your profit model.
Agreed. Highly recommended.
— Randy SmithJust finished Gary Vaynerchuk's "Crush It!: Why Now Is The Time to Cash In On Your Passion" and felt he gave some good advice on how to market your product using social media tools. He is also a pretty good motivator.
His methodology doesn't follow what is taught in 4HWW though since he basically recommends blogging as a full-time career, but it give you some good food for thought.
Not my favorite. More of an inspirational book (which is fine). I just need some cold hard facts.

Crowdsourcing by Jeff Howe - Revolutionary business model which all the latest billion dollar companies are using - google, facebook, twitter. Figure out how to crowdsource your business and hang on for the ride. It really makes you think about what is possible.
you cant forget Good to Great - essential business read.
rework - Very close to some of the core of amsb. Work distributed around the world, build a small business that competes with the big guys, profit (not sell out) to finance your business, work in sprints, etc. If you like our podcast, you'll probably like these guys too. It does read like a manifesto though. I really enjoyed it.
Getting things Done by David Allen. Improve personal productivity. I know its a bit off topic but I found it essential to improve my productivity to allow me to make progress on my entrepreneurial ventures whilst working full time.
This is a must read!
— CraignKzooI've been reading Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs link text It is very good. Practical information including "To Do" lists at the end of each chapter. While it gives detailed practical advice (which for me is where the value in reading business books comes) it is motivational in essence. Certainly motivates you to improve your sites. A great read.
Zen To Done is an interesting take on/alternative to David Allen's Getting Things Done method.
I recommend the following (you can look them up under your own affiliate links):
1) Mastering the Rockefeller Habits by Verne Harnish
2) Execution with the drama by Patrick Thean
3) The E-myth by Michael Gerber (mentioned above)
Some other really good books:
1) Seeing What's Next
2) Blue Ocean Strategy

Getting Everything You Can Out of All You've Got: 21 Ways You Can Out-Think, Out-Perform, and Out-Earn the Competition by Jay Abraham
How To Get Rich - by Felix Dennis (of Dennis Publishing) Very well written, Felix is witty, focused and cuts out all the crap. The book describes the mindset needed if you desire to be stinking rich with examples/biography of how he made it. I read it cover to cover in two days.
Either get the Audio Book or read "From Good to Great" The way the author narrates the book is kind of cheesy in the audio book but his message is solid.

The 22 Immutable laws of Marketing - by Al Ries & Jack Trout. It makes you able to "read the matrix" of marketing world. Well written, reads like a good fiction. Highly recommended. Finished it in 3 hours!

The 22 Immutable laws of Branding - by Al Ries & Laura Ries. After you read this, coming up with a brand name for your business is a breeze! You can use this book as a checklist to run your newly created names thru to see what is a good name and what is a bad one and why.
If you have employees, highly recommend Peter Drucker. Anything really, but especially "Management".
Also, The diamond cutter: the Buddha on managing your business and your life, by Michael Roach.
thanks, craig
I just read "what's mine is yOURS-the rise of collaborative consumption" by Rogers, botsman The book offers many valuable resources that is already available to us but also hints and inspires imaginings as to what is to come....at least in my mind.
Another vote for E-Myth it is the authority on this subject.
