What are your most inspiring internet business success stories?

Adam Short – Guru in creating niche websites that basically run themselves once set up. He utilizes keyword searches to find unique opportunities, becomes an ‘expert’ in that niche through research, and then utilizes outsourcers to create a product for that niche. The key to his success is quality and quantity - well, at least quantity. At one point he had 300 of these websites and then reduced them down to the ones that made the most money, which currently is around 90. I can’t speak for the quality of his work.

What I like about this methodology is that he is spreading his risk to multiple, low-maintenance sites instead of one specialized site. I personally do not want to have to maintain blogs or Facebook/Twitter accounts to continually support my products. That just sounds like too much work. Plus, I lose interest too quickly with that sort of thing to make it work anyway.

Wayne, have you used his progam? I watched the interview and was tempted to sign but before I do I wanted someone to verify that it was legit?

No I haven't used the program. It's probably legit but I felt I received enough information from the interview to run with it myself.

I'm cheap. The way I see it, there is enough free information out there that I can't justify paying for it. It just takes a research and trial-and-error. It may take longer, but you'll learn more in the process. Every dollar you spend is another dollar you'll need to make up later in sales.

But that is me. It may be the best thing in the world for you so you'll need to make that call.

One purchase I do recommend is the Markey Samurai program which is a great internet niche research tool. Basically it allows you to research keywords by pulling in Google Keyword and Microsoft competition data to determine niche markets with potential. By potential, I mean one's that don't have too much competition and have people that are looking to buy. You can get this information manually, but this tool brings it together all at once. A HUGE time saver. There's also a bunch of other functionality to help monetize and support your niche once you find it. They have a series of pretty good training videos to walk you through the process and you can get a 40-day free trial. Plenty of time to determine if you want to purchase or not.
