Calendar / appointment schedule for my website?

I have been thinking about this for my business as well. While I do not have the answer, I do have some clarifying questions for you?

Do you have your own server, or are you "clouding" it? If you have your own (as I do) then I am looking at wiki services that have calendar integration. Osx has this built into their operating system, so I think that may work for me. I have also looked at filemaker and building (or buying a plug in) to set up my own calendar.

If cloud based, consider a crm service that you could link out to? I have found a number on line to review. I am assuming you have considered gmail? If you are wanting it built right into your site, I was impressed with the wealth of addon/ plugin for joomla, which may have some resources for you as well.

Well, an easier and free way of doing this is to set up a google account, register the gmail, calendar etc. Google calendar allows access to the calendar by way of a private url. All you have to do is link and/or this url xml code on your site. This allows others to view or add/edit changes depending on the level of access you grant.

Check out Evergreen online appointment scheduling software. It does what you are asking about (let clients book appointments online), and can also send automated appointment reminders via text and/or email. I created it, so let me know what you think.
