Help pick corporate business name

Hi Guys

Kind of a weird request, I know. But after reading Wikinomics, I thought I'd try this crowdsourcing idea out to help me name my corporation.

The corporation will have several subsidiary registered companies beneath it. All of the companies will be photo/video related. My main company is real estate photography and videographer, and my other one is a product that I sell to videographers. And then I have a company that does real estate floor plans separately.

Anyway, I'd love to see a few different name ideas for such a corporation. Keep in mind that it should be generic but with hints of the industry I'm operating in.

My submissions: - BRYL Photo Video Inc. (bryl, by the way, is my mothers name which I'll be switching to in time) - Click Click Inc. - Snap Roll Inc.

By the way Peter, having set up a few LLCs in NYC, I have concluded (at least for me) that a good option is setting up one LLC as and umbrella organization and having "companies" operating underneath as DBAs-which is kind of the direction it sounds like you are heading. (Companies is in quotes because those entities are merely parts of the larger umbrella organization though they look from the outside like separate entities.) At least here in NY, this formation is cheaper and easier in the set up process. This might be something you want to consider.

I agree. That's exactly what I'm doing. Here in Canada at least you have to set up separate corporations with one being a parent. I'm not sure if we can do DBAs. I'm going to look into DBAs tho and let you know. Thanks for the post.

Thanks Quantu... Aperture Science is interesting... but does "science"? I'm not quite sure about that. I kind of like it, but I'm afraid people might think that my business is a laboratory... AHA, Aperture Laboratory.. perhaps?
