Shopping Cart
Within the last three days, I have registered a new domain, purchased hosting, and loaded my WordPress theme to create my website. I have also put content on the website but I am looking to make this into a retail sales site and I am looking for a shopping cart. I checked out Shoppify but it looks as if that is it's own hosted website similar to WordPress. Can I use Shoppify or does something like PayPall do a better job of integrating with WordPress?

It depends on what you're selling, and how many products you have. Shopp is a pretty good plugin that works with wordpress. It's also ok to have some marketing stuff on Wordpress and then link over to store.yourdomain.com that's a hosted shopping cart. Paypal is easy to integrate, but if you get over a few products it becomes a nightmare to maintain.
osCommerce is another shopping cart to consider if you're going to handle more than just a few products. It could be integrated into your blog with a bit of custom programming (less than $100) and has a lot of options and themes for free. But it's not something for a total beginner unless they have help. Not sure if that's you but thought I'd mention that.
